OCTOBER TRIVIA
This is a month that is full of commemorations and “awarenesses”!
It is a month that celebrates several food categories beginning alphabetically
with National Apple Jack Month (that’s the oldest native distilled
spirit in the U.S.-early 1700’s- not the cereal),
National Cookies Month (see www.cookiesforyou.com), National Popcorn
Poppin’ Month (www.popcorn.org), National Pork Month, National
Seafood Month (www.nfi.org) and National Vegetarian Month. Quite a smorgasbord
of choices!
In the way of well-being as a fortunate citizen of the USA October
is set aside as all of these (and more): Eat Better, Eat Together Month

Month, Roller Skating Month, Dental Hygiene and Orthodontic Health Month,
Physical Therapy Month, National Service Dog Month (www.servicedogs.org),
National Liver Awareness Month & Spinal Month & Down Syndrome
Month (www.ndsccenter.org).
A few more miscellaneous topics include: National Sarcastics Awareness Month, (do you think someone is being sarcastic about whether the rest of us can tell when we’re with someone who is sarcastic?) National Stamp Collecting Month (www.usps.gov), Right-Brainers Rule Month (www.creativelee.com), and October is National Toilet Tank Repair Month. (Really!)
